Thank you for participating in the Career Bird pilot. As you will see below, we made several improvements based on your feedback and have even more in the works for November. Keep the feedback coming!
Integration with 150 HRIS platforms
Customers can now connect and sync employee data directly from their HRIS systems (Workday, UKG, Rippling, ADP, etc). After the authorization process is complete, organizational structure, employee information, job titles, and management reporting relationships will synchronize.
⭐ This capability eliminates manual file uploads and handles the onboarding and off boarding of employees.
Custom competencies
Career Bird now allows organizations to define and manage their own custom competencies alongside our library of 42 behavioral competencies and 20 leadership competencies built by talent science experts. Admins can create unique behavioral or leadership competencies, add descriptions, set rating questions, and even mark them as required across all roles.
💡 Ideal for organizations with existing competency models that need to be reflected in their job architecture.
Job families are live
Career Bird now supports the creation and management of job families. Admins can group related roles under a shared job family, making it easier to organize, track, and align roles across the organization. Each job family can be named, edited, and expanded with associated roles to reflect career pathways and structural clarity. The Career Explorer will be updated to reflect job family and job track groupings.
👉 This helps organizations strengthen career development frameworks and maintain a clear, scalable job architecture.
Skills intelligence reporting
There is now a centralized view of all skills across the organization. Admin users can filter by department, job family, or skill type to see which roles are tied to each skill, how many employees currently hold it, the available learning resources, and how many employees are below the required proficiency level. Proficiency breakdowns help identify key up-skilling areas at a glance.
✅ Great for prioritizing L&D investments, identifying skill gaps, and monitoring organizational strengths across departments.
Skills proficiency matrix
The skill proficiency matrix report shows a detailed description of what each level of proficiency means for the specific skills required for a role. The levels of proficiency are foundational, intermediate, advanced and expert.
🔍 This reports gives HR, managers and employees a common understanding of what it means
Managing learning resources providers
Controls are available to determine which learning content sources are shown to employees. Admins can enable or block access to providers such as Coursera, LinkedIn Learning, and Udemy. Providers marked as “blocked” are excluded from employee-facing learning plans and recommendations.
⚙️ Well-suited for curating a streamlined L&D ecosystem and managing which sources are included in the learning library
Onboarding dashboard
The login experience is now streamlined, so every user sees exactly what matters most for them.
Admins can track roles awaiting approval and invite new users.
Managers get a quick view of the roles assigned to them for review.
Employees see their role description and skill survey front and center.
✨ No clutter, just the tools each person needs to move forward.
Delegating role review editing
Career Bird now makes it easier for HR to assign responsibility to managers to review and edit roles. Admins can assign a reviewer directly from the role detail page using the “Assign Reviewer” button. Once assigned, the reviewer can read, edit, and approve the role. Assigned roles display the reviewer’s name in the **My Roles** dashboard, creating full visibility into ownership and progress.
💡This helps organizations speed up role review, approvals, reduce bottlenecks, and keep accountability clear.
Client branding
Clients can now personalize their platform with company logos so every workspace reflects the company’s identity. Admins can upload their official company logo in Settings, ensuring the platform is aligned with their organization’s look and feel. When a company website is added, the system automatically pulls in the logo, which can then be updated or replaced with the preferred version.
✨ This creates a consistent, professional experience for employees and managers working inside Career Bird.
