February 2026 product update

Thank you for participating in the Career Bird pilot. We have made several improvements based on your feedback and have additional enhancements planned for 2026. Keep the feedback coming!

Compensation public benchmarks

Our compensation feature includes built-in market compensation insights that benchmark roles against real-world data. It shows a base salary range, percentile benchmarks (25th, 50th, 75th, and 90th), and breakdowns by company size, region, and metro tier.

These insights allow HR and People teams to ground-level decisions in market reality, identify geographic adjustments, and make more informed compensation conversations with leadership, directly within the same system where roles and responsibilities are defined.

Track changes and version history for job descriptions

There is now a side-by-side role editing with full version history, making it easier to track how a job evolves over time. Admins and managers can compare the current approved version with a new editable draft, clearly seeing what has changed before approving updates. This includes edits to the title, level, description, responsibilities, and role-based, core, and leadership skills.

This workflow introduces governance and transparency into role design, ensuring that changes are intentional, reviewable, and aligned with business needs.

Manager dashboard with team insights

The Manager Dashboard has been expanded to provide deeper insight into team progress and development. In addition to the role review workflow, managers can now see skill survey completion, proficiency distribution, and role alignment metrics at a glance. The dashboard also surfaces growth opportunities and skill gaps across the team, making it easier to prepare for 1:1s, performance conversations, and development planning.

This turns Career Bird into a daily tool for people leadership, not just a static job architecture system.

Job tracks

Career Bird now includes job tracks, giving employees and managers a clear, visual view of how roles progress over time within a job family. The job track shows each level in sequence, from entry-level roles through senior and leadership positions, helping employees understand what growth looks like in their career path. It also surfaces related roles at the current level, next level, and even two levels ahead, along with skill match indicators.

This makes career progression more transparent, supports development planning, and helps employees see concrete pathways for advancement inside the organization.

Automated reminder emails

Career Bird now sends automated reminder emails to employees, managers, and system administrators based on where they are in the workflow. These reminders prompt employees to review and accept their roles, complete skill surveys, and explore their learning plans, while managers are reminded to review and approve role content. System admins receive visibility into what still needs action across the organization.

This automation reduces manual follow-ups, keeps projects moving, and ensures that role definition and skill calibration don’t stall due to missed steps.
